10% of our Cheese of the Month sales go to an organization with a mission we are honored to support. In June we’ll contribute to the World Central Kitchen, first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises.

Pasteurized Cow Milk, Salt, Cultures, Enzymes
Blue Ledge Farm, Leicester, VT
A mild, friendly cow’s milk cheese that is Blue Ledge Farm’s take on a Camembert/Brie hybrid! Made with the cows’ milk from the milk of neighboring Crawford Family Farm, each wheel is coated with a thin, mushroomy rind that adds beautiful depth of flavor to the buttery, gooey paste beneath. The cheese ripens over a period of 6-8 weeks, during which time the smooth creamy flavors develop, change, and intensify until the wheels are perfectly ripe and ready to enjoy.
Pasteurized Goat & Sheep Milk,, Salt, Cultures, Enzymes
Queserias Tietar, Castilla y Leon, Spain
Legendary cheesemaker Rafael Baez and his daughter Paloma are solely responsible for this universally recognized brilliant goat cheese. The cheese is lactic towards the center and becomes more piquant and intense near the rind. It is creamy, lemony and slightly acidic; as it ages, the texture becomes denser and the flavor becomes more intense with a pungent finish. Monte Enebro’s rind is the result of a Penicillium Roquefortii inoculation, giving a distinctive appearance and a hint of minerality. Robust for a young goat, Monte Enebro and pairs well with Tempranillo and Grenache but can also hold its own with dessert wines.
Raw Sheep Milk, Salt, Cultures, Enzymes
Vermont Shepherd, Putney, VT
Vermont Shepherd, once known as Major Farm, is the oldest sheep dairy in the United States. From there, we get this beautiful protein-rich summer sheep milk cheese. Vermont Shepherd’s sheep graze only on pasture (rather than processed or preserved feed), ensuring a more nutritionally-rich, flavorful cheese. High in Vitamin A, E and Omega-3s, Verano may just be the world’s most perfect food. It’s certainly among our favs.

Our Cheese of the Month Club started as a means of supporting small, regional artisan producers during the hardship of COVID. It was an enormous success, and we’re proud to have given a little boost to the hard working folk who provide us with nourishment and joy. Each month, we also gave 10% of our Club’s sales to a Charity or Agricultural Organization doing something we thought noble. We’ll be keeping that custom moving forward, but expanding the selection a bit to include cheeses from across the US and around the world. Each month will feature small-batch products made by real humans with genuine love for the products they bring to market. Three cheeses, a curated sweet or savory condiment, and crackers or biscuits are always included, as are descriptions of what you’re about to enjoy. Some months may include an added bonus. A collection of artisanal goods, a hint of whimsy, a sprinkling of feel-good, and a hefty portion of delicious. Also - commitments as short as one month. Whatcha waitin’ for?
